Once students have completed and submitted their album projects, they can begin on the write-up.
Students must submit the following:
- An individual Reflection paper: 3 pages minimum, Dbl Sp., MLA: It must include: Reflections of the team process (how did the whole thing come together?); reflections of your personal process (the creative song writing process); why did you choose your genre?; the names of 3 artists in that genre and what have they contributed to that genre?; If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?; What is the process to copyright your music, how much will it cost, and are you in violation of copyright law with any of your song?; What publishing company are you going with and why?; How much does it cost to rent a regular music studio for a day to record an album?; How much does it cost to hire union musicians for a day?.
Create an CD jacket with art work that represents your album, including Artist name, Album Title and Song Titles, in standard format.
Burn a minimum of 1 CD for each member of your collaborative.
All materials must be completed (and turned in if required by May 21st).
Project (part 2) is worth 300 pts.
Combined with part 1, total project is worth 600 pts.
